Which Forté is right for you?
The following table summarises the typical organisation for the various Forté versions.

Small office or home office with light email and contact management requirements. Need to record notes, email, phone calls, appointments, tasks and do the occasional document, but don't require many document templates. Single user with no requirement to share data. |
| Forté Professional |
Small office or home office with customer relationship management requirements beyond a contact management system. May require many templates and need to automate some tasks. Requirement to link contacts to accounts (companies) and to integrate with Outlook. Single user with no requirement to share data. |
| Forté Enterprise |
Same customer relationship management requirements as for Forté Professional but requirement to share data with other users. May operate on a LAN or WAN with requirement for access offsite. Remote access needed when unable to connect to internet. Possibly an organisation with several branches requiring access to the same database. |
| Forté Hosted |
Same requirements as Forté Enterprise but limited technical resource. Requirement to outsource the application and database hosting. |
